'Grown up' in the Bible
Then Judah said to Tamar, his daughter-in-law, "Remain a widow in your father's house, until Shelah, my son, is grown up;" for he said, "Lest he also die, like his brothers." Tamar went and lived in her father's house.
So she put off from her the garments of her widowhood and covered herself with a veil and wrapped herself up, and sat down in the entrance of, Enaim, which is by the way towards Timnah, - for she saw that Shelah had grown up, and she, had not been given him to wife.
{And then} in those days when Moses had grown up, he went out to his brothers, and he saw their {forced labor}, and he saw an Egyptian man striking a Hebrew man, [one of] his brothers.

(even a poor man had grown up with me as if I were his father, and even though I had guided the widow from the time I was born),
Let them be even as the hay upon the housetops, which withereth afore it be grown up;
Let our sons in their youth be as grown-up plants,And our daughters as corner pillars fashioned as for a palace;
I saw that thorns had grown up all over it, the ground was covered with weeds, and its stone wall was broken down.

That was why his parents said, "He is grown up; you must ask him."
